Discounted tickets are available for youth (ages 13–17) and senior groups of ten or more (ages 62 and up). Children 12 and under are free, but require a ticket. This uplifting program features Ukrainian composer Alexander Saratsky’s new jazzy double concerto inspired by Ukrainian folk songs, plus holiday music from around the world, including “Star of Bethlehem” and “Somewhere in My Memory” from John Williams’s score for Home Alone and excerpts from Handel’s Messiah. The orchestra and choir also join forces for John Rutter’s “What Sweeter Music,” Mark Wilberg’s arrangement of “Deck the Hall,” and the French carol “Sing We Now of Christmas.” Featured also are orchestral arrangements of “Countdown to Christmas” from Victor Herbert’s March of the Toys, Chanukah Festival Overture by Calvin Custer, and Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride.”
