Kirsten West received her Bachelor of Arts degree in music from Loma Linda University and her Master of Music degree in piano performance from the University of Redlands studying with Louanne Fuchs Long. She also studied for a year at the Geneva Conservatory of Music in Switzerland where she earned a diploma and a medal for performance. She is an active performer in the East Bay and is a member of the Performing Arts Society, Berkeley Piano Club, Music Teachers’ Association, and Music Teacher’s National Association. She has served as president of the Contra Costa branch of Music Teachers’ Association and as president of the Berkeley Piano Club. In addition to performing both solo and chamber music, she maintains a private studio in Pleasant Hill where she enjoys teaching students of all ages.
