The Diablo Symphony Association is happy to announce its special Fall 2021 online auction being held September 17-27 on the website www.biddingforgood.com (after reaching the site, search for “diablo symphony” in the search box). Although we can’t yet come together  for the dinner, wine, visiting and exuberant bidding enjoyed at past live Galas, this special auction provides a fun opportunity to raise funds needed to ensure a healthy future for our terrific community orchestra.  The Diablo Symphony Orchestra has enriched the area’s cultural life with affordable, high-quality concerts, including an always popular annual Family Concert and concerts featuring major orchestral works and collaborations with accomplished choral groups and guest artists. Children ages 12 and under are always admitted to concerts at no charge – a tradition that will continue when live performances resume during the soon to begin 2021-2022 season.

All are invited to visit the auction site to register as a bidder (you don’t need to provide credit card information when registering). Once registered, you will be able to view all auction items and begin bidding during auction hours. You may return to the site as often as you wish to check on and change your bids, or place new bids, until bidding closes at 11:30 pm on September 27.

At previous fundraisers, attendees have purchased dinner and drinks, and perhaps made monetary donations through the traditional “paddle raise”. If you would consider donating the price of the dinner and money donations you might have made during a live Gala event, please send your donation directly to the symphony at Diablo Symphony Association, P.O.Box 2222, Walnut Creek, 94595 (please indicate Gala donation on the check), or go directly to the website to donate by credit card.

We are so grateful for the support you give the orchestra and its activities. Fundraising dollars greatly help the orchestra reach and uphold its mission “to perform classical music, provide educational programs, and offer performing opportunities to local musicians, thus enriching the lives and cultural climate of our community”.
